Role

The Home Groups Minister exists to provide shepherding and leadership to the Home Groups Ministry. The Home Groups Minister will help oversee the assimilation process into Home Group life with a view to discipling people toward God’s good design for identity, purpose, and belonging.

Responsibilities

  • General ministerial care and counsel for TVC deacons, mentors, leaders, and group members
  • Direct, develop, equip, and encourage leaders under the direction of the Minister, Home Groups Director
  • Develop and revise curriculum for GroupConnect, leader health, and training
  • Recruit, interview, evaluate, train, and deploy all potential leaders
  • Provide a predictable and consistent assimilation process into Home Groups at TVC

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • Master’s degree, preferred
  • 3+ years of ministerial leadership experience
  • Understanding of church theology and philosophy of ministry
  • Significant interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in ministerial care, counsel, and direction
  • Ability to communicate effectively
