Role

The Student Ministry Assistant is an administrative role that is an integral part of the programmatic efforts to serve and lead 6th–12th grade students, their families, and Student Ministry volunteers. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a welcoming and hospitable environment for students and volunteers for Student Night and all Student Ministry events. 
  • Oversee a team of check-in and event volunteers.
  • Manage and order supplies for the physical space of Student Night and volunteer areas.
  • Plan and coordinate Student Ministry events.
  • Organize a calendar for the Student Ministry and communicate throughout the year with the lead team, volunteers, and participants.
  • Staff presence at weekend services and occasional events such as camps and retreats.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Student ministry experience preferred
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, work ethic, and dependability
  • Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications
