Also known as:
The Praise Team Leader Guy
TVC Responsibilities:
I lead worship, oversee our Production and Worship departments, and serve alongside the best team of volunteers anyone could ask for!
When and how did the Lord save you?
Growing up in a missionary family serving overseas, I prayed and asked the Lord to save me at 5 years old. Throughout high school and college, I wrestled with significant doubts, but in the two years after I graduated from college, the Lord did an incredible work to draw me back to Himself and clarify my calling to leading worship in the Church.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
The Lord clarified my calling to worship while I was living in Cambodia, working as a videographer for various nonprofit organizations. I applied for an internship at The Village Church and moved to Texas to join a church I knew very little about but have been so blessed to become a part of.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
“The Power of Silence.” I could probably stand on stage quietly for 10 minutes and then make one profound statement about the chaos of modern life and the human soul’s need for stillness, and it would be way more impactful than me trying to talk that entire time.
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
Archaeologist. I may or may not have removed a rock from the Colosseum as a 12-year-old with no idea that this was an actual crime against a world heritage site.
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
Shadow, the golden retriever from Homeward Bound. Who doesn’t cry when they watch him run home over that hill at the end? Whew. ‘90s kids know.
Favorite Hobby:
I love to run. Say hello on Strava if you do, too!
