TVC Responsibilities:
I minister to elementary kids and first-time families. I develop and care for Kids Village volunteers. I help to plan and organize KV events and edit KV curriculum.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I am the oldest of five and was blessed to have parents who loved the Lord and continually pointed my siblings and me to Christ. I gave my life to the Lord when I was 5 years old. Soon after I was saved, I began to believe the lie that the Lord expected and required me to be perfect. This led me to a place throughout my childhood where I would hide all my mistakes and sin, constantly striving for the Lord’s and others’ approval. I white-knuckled my way through school by trying to do and say all the right things. But once I got to my junior year of high school, things began to fall apart in almost every area of my life. I realized how out of control I was, and that terrified me.
A year after I graduated, God, in His kindness, led me to the Institute program at Citybridge Community Church. I came into the program believing a lot of lies about God and carrying shame over my past mistakes and sin, but God met me there, and through His Word, Spirit, and people, He showed me who He is—merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. During this year, the Lord set me free from so many of the lies I had been living under my entire life, and He gave me a new love for Himself and a passion for ministry.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I landed at TVC in September of 2024, following the Lord’s call into vocational ministry.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
Homeschooling. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade and absolutely loved it!
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
This job! I have wanted to go into Kids Ministry since I was little!
