Executive Director, Engagement

TVC Responsibilities:
I serve the church as a member of the Executive team, where I take part in operationalizing and harmonizing the mission, vision, and values of The Village Church. I lead, develop, and supervise extremely gifted department leaders whose teams encourage people into deeper engagement in TVC’s vision through active invitations. I support the Lead Pastors and Elders with special projects and tasks, as applicable.

When and how did the Lord save you?
I do not remember a day where I did not believe in the veracity of Scriptures and the gospel, and I was baptized as a young child in the church I grew up in. When I was in college, my faith became my own after testing the offerings of the world and finding them to lead to shame and destruction. God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness for me through Christ Jesus became a lived reality for me, and I experienced a transformative identity shift while enrolled in a Steps class through The Village Church. I have never been the same since, and thank the Lord for granting me grace and growth in my sanctification journey.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I first visited in 2007 at the invitation of a friend, during a series on the “role of men.” God used that series to heal the broken, jagged pieces within me and my story and to begin the restoration process to Himself.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I envisioned myself working in the fashion world in a hub like New York City, where I would don the most amazing power suits and wear stilettos every day.

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
Ewan McGregor's character in Big Fish; he was curious about and believed the best in others—often bringing out the best in others—and was faithful to his word. He was also a bit mischievous, and adventure seemed to follow him wherever he went.

Favorite Hobby:
Taking long walks with others or by myself along trails and roads with pretty views and plenty of shade!
