Creative Director

TVC Responsibilities:
I serve as the lead creative within Communications, overseeing the branding of the church, the creative process, and the execution of all creative deliverables for sermon series, campaigns, and ministry projects. I supervise TVC’s graphic designer(s) and copywriter(s).

When and how did the Lord save you?
I answered an altar call and was baptized at age 8 in a small United Methodist Church in East Texas. I believed, but I didn’t have anyone to disciple me in the faith until high school and college. As I learned more about God, so grew my love and faith. I liken it to a slow sunrise—dark becoming light so gradually you hardly notice until you are enveloped.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I attended college at the University of North Texas in Denton, and my roommates attended the (at the time) Denton campus of TVC. I loved it. That church and its people became a refuge for me. A few years later, I graduated with degrees in English and Psychology with hopes of working in publishing. Then my roommate saw a job posting on Twitter (RIP) for a Copywriting Intern at TVC in Flower Mound, so I applied. I have been a part of the Communications team since 2011.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
Magazine editor or FBI agent

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
Veronica Mars, because I, too, was a snarky blonde in high school who wanted to solve crimes.

Favorite Hobby:
Reading literary fiction & memoirs; going to the cinema—basically, enjoying a story well told
