TVC Responsibilities:
I lead and teach Women’s Bible Study, provide direction and training for WBS volunteer teams, lead the TVC Women’s team, and cast vision for and implement TVC Women’s events.
When and how did the Lord save you?
My parents were faithful to model the Christian faith, teach me about Jesus, and take me to church. The Lord granted me the faith to believe in His Son, Jesus, at a Christian camp when I was 10 years old while we were singing the hymn “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus”. My grandfather, a Presbyterian minister, baptized me and discipled me after I was saved.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My family came to TVC in 2008 after our church home in the area changed quite a bit doctrinally and in the philosophy of ministry. After visiting other churches in the area, we knew we had found our new church home the first time we visited TVC.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would speak about how to process emotions, not by stuffing them but by steering them.
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I would be a famous singer!
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with Carl Fredricksen from the Disney movie Up. I loved his journey in the movie—how he let go of his dream and cared faithfully for his wife—and how he chose to invest in the next generation in his old age. I would love to listen to his memories and receive his advice.
Favorite Hobby:
I love bringing order and beauty to a room. Organizing and decorating spaces is life-giving to me.
